Due to the delay in race 2 the following races where rescheduled for:

Race 3 – 3.25pm.

Race 4 – 3.55pm.

Race 5 – 4.25pm.

Race 6 – 4.55pm.

Race 1 – barriers international open trophy race - 2350 metres:  Fan Tale was slow to begin.

Fenaughty Lad raced ungenerously in the middles stages.

Chief Thunderwing raced wide without cover for the majority of the race.

Sewon raced wide without cover in the middle stages.

Rounding the home turn Saint Johan was held up for a short distance.

S Cameron rider of Lay Back Lad was reprimanded under the provisions of AR137A(5)(a)(ii) for using the whip in a forehand manner on seven occasions prior to the 100 metres, two more than permissible.

Race 2 – brennan contracting open trophy race - 1200 metres:  The start of race two was significantly delayed as a patron, who had been injured at the stale area, received medical attention.  The race was rescheduled for 2.55pm.

After being attended to by the clubs farrier, Purple Zar underwent a pre race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start.

Mummacass jumped awkwardly resulting in the rider becoming unbalanced for some strides.  As a result of this Gifford, which was racing to the inside of Mummacass, shifted in slightly resulting in Salsa Club having to be eased.

R Douglas explained to the Stewards that he returned to scales overweight due to the combination of the delayed start and extreme heat of the day, causing him to rehydrate.  R Douglas rider of Jetera was severely reprimanded under the provision of AR145 for returning to scale in excess of 1kg over his declared riding weight.

Race 3 – jaytec internet & computer services trophy race (2) - 1200 metres:  R Douglas was given permission to ride Cool Change 1kg over his declared riding weight.

Shortly after the start Mr Martingdale and Ish raced in restricted room when racing tight between Wilpena and Cool Change which both shifted ground.

Passing the 100 metres the rider of Ish had to stop riding and straighten the gelding which was laying in.

R Douglas rider of Cool Change was reminded of his obligation to rider his mount out to the finish line.

Race 4 – no fuss solutions healesville cup - 1650 metres:  R Douglas was given permission to ride Dover 1kg over his declared riding weight.

Casual Request threw its head up shortly after jumping.

Patanga Paws had to be eased approaching the winning post on the first occasion when racing tight to the inside of Tate Modern.

Purge raced wide without cover for the majority of the event.

R Douglas rider of Dover was reprimanded under the provisions of AR137A(5)(a)(i) for using the whip on consecutive strides prior to the 100 metres, which is not permitted under the rules.

Race 5 – east malvern rsl trophy race (3) - 1650 metres:  Eye The Tiger which had been restless while travelling to the course underwent a veterinary examination and was passed fit to start.

On jumping Irish Village was tightened from room between Will D’Or and Reddy For Kerry which shifted in.

Shortly after the start Beenadancer had to be eased off the heels of Jack’s Palace which shifted in.

Approaching the winning post on the first occasion Beenadancer got its head its up when over racing.

Reddy For Kerry raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages, resulting in the rider of Gold Viper easing his mount out off the heels of Reddy For Kerry approaching the winning post on the first occasion.

T Buck rider of Will D’Or was severely reprimanded for a celebratory gesture on the winning post.

Race 6 – craft markets australia maiden handicap - 1000 metres:  The start of race six was delayed when Paris Angle was presented in the mounting yard without its lead bag.  As a result C Sexton trainer of Paris Angle was fined the sum of $300 under the provision of AR140A.

Paris Angle was slow to begin.
