Race 1 – Australian plumbing industry maiden handicap - 1650 metres: The start of this race was delayed as Moulin Noir was reluctant to proceed to the barriers and then had to be resaddled on arrival at the barriers. John Kilgower trainer of Moulin Noir was notified that prior to the mare being permitted to start again she must trial in an official trial to the satisfaction of stewards.

Moulin Noir and Wilbo were both slow to begin.

Passing the winning post on the first occasion Secret Journey commenced to hang out and then shifted out abruptly.

In the middle stages of the race Diaddison had a tendency to overrace.

Chopper On Ice raced wide without cover for the majority of the race.

Rounding the home turn Diaddison was held up for clear running.

Near the 100 metres Diaddison raced tight to the inside of Tilleeva resulting in Mr Jacob Londregan being unable to ride Diaddison out in his usual manner.

Race 2 – master plumbers &mechanical services association of australia trophy - 1650 metres:

A post race veterinary examination of Jiminy Terror which performed poorly revealed the gelding to be lame in the off foreleg. Mark Anderson trainer of Jiminy Terror was notified that he must submit a veterinary clearance for the gelding before he will be permitted to start again.

Race 3 – plumbing industry climate action centre trophy race - 1200 metres:

The start of this race was delayed due to a member of the public requiring medical attention from the on course paramedics.

Like Thunder and Cowdrey were both slow to begin.

Approaching the 1100metres Purge had to be eased to avoid the heels of Jetera (Mr Adam Bodey) which shifted in. Mr Adam Bodey was notified to exercise more care when shifting ground in future.

Like Thunder raced wide without cover in the middle stages of the race.

Race 4 – mrpp trophy race (3) - 1200 metres:

Joy Street was slow to begin.

Rusty Mater jumped away awkwardly.

Rounding the home turn Order Of Victory was held up for a run and in the early part of the straight had to change course to obtain clear running.

Mr Raymond Douglas rider of Order Of Victory was severely reprimanded for weighing in 1kg over his declared riding weight.

Race 5 – parkinson group maiden handicap - 1000 metres:

Upstairsdownstairs jumped away awkwardly shifted out and hampered Grande Soeur.

After passing the 700 metres Upstairsdownstairs commenced to hang out. Near the 600 metres Upstairsdownstairs when hanging out shifted out abruptlyand severely hampered Sensational Goss, thereby taking the mare out off its course for some distance. As a consequence of this incident Sensational Goss lost considerable ground. Mr Geoff Brunsdon trainer of Upstairsdownstairs was notified that the gelding was now suspended from racing until such time as he performs to the satisfaction of the stewards in an official trial.

Race 6 – food works trophy race 1 - 1000 metres: Forbidden jumped away awkwardly and lost ground (1L).

STEWARD’S REPORT HEALESVILLE 31 OCTOBER &     

                         MANSFIELD 3 NOVEMBER 2009.

On Friday 6 November when checking claims for the meeting at Balnarring on 7 November it was established that rider Patrick Kelly had claimed a weight allowance that he was not entitled to, at the above meetings.

Acting under AR.143 the following horses were disqualified, the placings were amended and the relevant trainers advised:

Healesville Saturday 31 November

Race 1 – Tilleeva, 2 placegetter

Race 3 – King of Dendy, 4 placegetter

Race 5 – Twisted Secret, 8 placegetter

Race 6 – Fraardinia, 7 placegetter.

Mansfield Tuesday 3 November

Race 2 – Tilleeva, winner
