Race 1 – dederang hotel corcoran parker open TROPHY RACE HANDICAP - 1000 metres:
At the start, Gorilla Inthemist threw its head in the air and lost ground.
A post race veterinary examination of Sound Indistinct, which struggled to be competitive, revealed no abnormalities.
Race 2 – ALPINE ANGUS, HAWKINS BUILDERS & ORBIT LOGISTICS TROPHY (2) HANDICAP - 1350 metres:
Eye The Tiger was slow to begin.
Race 3 – ELKS HUNTING, SIMPSON TRANSPORT & KIEWA CALF SCALES TROPHY (3) HANDICAP - 1650 metres:
Bowling Along jumped away awkwardly.
Near the 300 metres, Sparkling Seven, which had commenced to weaken, brushed the running rail and then shifted out slightly and carried Bowling Along out wider on the track.
A post race veterinary examination of Fast Realm, which finished well behind the rest of the field, revealed no abnormalities. Mr B Akers, trainer of Fast Realm, was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding in respect to its capacity to be competitive in races, and should the gelding not perform to a higher standard in future, further action may be taken.
Race 4 – BRian unthank, road safe north east & JIM WALTERS MEMORIAL MAIDEN HANDICAP - 1000 metres:
Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Mr P Kelly, rider of the Jayar’s Toy which was placed second in the race, requested to view the photo finish of the race. After viewing the official photo, Mr Kelly was satisfied that he had in fact run second, and correct weight was declared.
Jack’s Mate, whose gate was marginally late opening, was slow to begin.
Rounding the home turn and in the straight, Saracen hung out. After passing the 100 metres, Saracen, when hanging out, shifted out abruptly and then passing the winning post, again shifted out which resulted in Mr H Bacon, its rider, becoming unbalanced. Mr S Hawkins, trainer of Saracen, was advised that a warning would be placed on the mare, and should she perform in a similar manner again, further action may be taken.
Race 5 – MILESTONE CHEMICALS DEDERANG CUP OPEN TROPHY RACE - 1650 metres:

Race 6 – ALPINE SHIRE SPRINT OPEN TROPHY RACE HANDICAP - 1000 metres:
Mr Frog was slow to begin.
Mr J Fitzgerald, rider of Star Prince, placed fourth in the race, was advised by Stewards that in future he must ensure that all of his mounts are ridden out right to the line, which he did not do on this occasion. Stewards also notified him that stronger action would have been taken if they believed that the placings had been affected.
