Race 1 – fitted for work open trophy race - 1600 metres:  Bullecourt and Dover were marginally slow to begin.

Approaching the 200 metres Dover became unbalanced for a short distance.

Race 2 – bella plate trophy race (2) - 1600 metres:  The start of the race was slightly delayed as Valmarina proved difficult to load.  Mr M. Stephenson trainer of Valmarina was notified that the mare must perform in a jump out to the Stewards satisfaction prior to racing again.

Near the 1400 metres Rokoroo, which was racing ungenerously and commenced to over race, had to be steadied of the heels of Valmarina (A Bodey) which shifted in.  A Bodey rider of Valmarina was notified to exercise far more care in future when shifting ground.

R Douglas rider of Rokoroo was reprimanded under the provisions of AR137A(5)(a)(ii) for using the whip on six occasions prior to the 100 metres, one more than permissible.

Race 3 – lauren stakes trophy race (3) - 1200 metres:  Macatina raced wide without cover for the majority of the race.

Sensational Goss had a tendency to hang in for the entire straight resulting in its rider having difficulty in riding the mare out to the line.

Race 4 – maximillian elmer maiden handicap - 1200 metres:  Monde Miss was slow to begin.

At the 1000 metres Perrybingle and Please Act made the crossing awkwardly.

Peerybingle raced tight to the inside of Midnight Tango for some distance passing the 100 metres.

T Buck rider of Please Act was severely reprimanded under the provisions of AR137A(5)(a)(ii) for using the whip on six occasions prior to the 100 metres, one more than permissible.

Race 5 – jim’s test & tag open trophy race - 2000 metres:  Manasinga raced wide without cover for the majority of the event.

Near the 400 metres Victory Blaze became unbalanced when racing tight to the inside of Manasinga.

A Bodey rider of Kermit was severely reprimanded under the provisions of AR137A(5)(a)(ii) for using the whip on seven occasions prior to the 100 metres, two more than permissible.

Race 6 – heat 2 vba/crv picnic racing sprinters series - 1050 metres:  Vixenite was marginally slow to begin.

Miss Rosehand had a tendency to lay in over the final 100 metres.

On returning to scales A Bodey rider of Pure Dancer reported that the gelding failed to respond to his riding in the straight and in his opinion raced like a tired horse.  A post race veterinary examination of Pure Dancer, which performed below market expectation, revealed the gelding had pulled up mildly distressed.

A post race veterinary examination of Briefs, which finished last, revealed the mare had pulled up with an elevated heart rate.
