Must produce Medical Certificate prior to riding again: Other Comments / Explanations: On arrival on course Stewards downgraded the track from Good 3 to Dead 5. Subsequently, following very heavy showers leading up to the first race, Stewards downgraded the track to Heavy 8 at 1.15pm. Race 1 – the sam kidd maiden handicap - 1600 metres:Grickle Grass raced wide without cover throughout. Approaching the 1200 metres Honours Express had to be eased off the heels of Night Action. Race 2 – the mitch betts trophy race (1) - 1600 metres:Near the 600 metres Divine Providence (G Brunsdon), when hit with the whip, shifted in abruptly, brushed the running rail and became unbalanced. G Brunsdon was advised to exercise greater care in future. Divine Providence then had a tendency to lay out for the remainder of the race. Strategic Mover had difficulty obtaining clear running in the straight. Race 3 – certified valuations open trophy race - 1600 metres: Wecanbeheroes dipped in the going near the 1400m. Over the concluding stages Noble Stranger shifted out and brushed Wecanbeheroes. A veterinary examination of Sue’s Force which performed poorly revealed no abnormalities, however the gelding lost it’s near fore plate. Race 5 – charman partners 2009 yea cup - 2100 metres: Due to the downgrade of the track Stewards permitted the withdrawal of Palisander at 1.15pm.
