K Harris, rider of Waratah Pirate, accidentally dropped his whip near the 100 metres.

P Tait, rider of Time To Roar was questioned regarding her riding tactics on the gelding throughout the race. P Tait stated that she made an error of judgement in allowing her mount to get too far out of its ground in the early and middle stages of the race and in hindsight she should have made a greater effort to keep in touch with the field.

P Tait was severely reprimanded for her riding of Time To Roar and notified that she would be expected to make a far greater effort to keep her mounts in contact with the field than she did on this occasion and she that must not ride in such a manner that leaves room for query.
