Race 1 – fred haysom memorial open trophy race 1 - 1700 metres: 

In the early stages of the race Carnegie Trance got its head up when over racing. Subsequent to the race the club’s veterinary surgeon reported that Carnegie Trance had bled from both nostrils.

Race 2 – oamps insurance brokers trophy race - 1600 metres: 

It’s Apparent had to be re-bridled at the barrier delaying the start of the race. In the early and middle stages of the race, Fenaughty Lad was unable to be restrained by his rider and for that reason was obliged to race wide.

At the top of the straight Time to Roar shifted in and bumped It’s Apparent.

Approaching the winning post It’s Apparent shifted out under pressure and brushed Time To Roar.

Over the concluding stages of the race Fenaughty Lad had a tendency to hang in.

Race 3 – welcome to woolamai maiden handicap  - 1000 metres: 

At the start Reason jumped awkwardly and lost ground.

Near the 600 metres Rebel Empire had to be eased when tightened for room between Reason and Dame Melba (J. Fitzgerald) which shifted in away from Sheza Ranga. Mr. J. Fitzgerald was severely reprimanded and advised to take far greater care when shifting ground in future.

In the straight,Trap Dancer was tightened for room inside Ivory Strategy (P. Koumis) when that horse shifted in under pressure. Mr. P. Koumis was reprimanded and advised to take far greater care when shifting ground in future.

Mr. K. Harris, rider of The Jolly Swagman which performed below expectations today, explained that he believed the horse had held its breath during the running of the race and for this reason the horse performed poorly. Stewards will advise Mr. P. Healey that before racing again the horse must undergo a veterinary endoscopic examination.

Race 4 – ken Reid memorial open trophy race - 1000 metres: 

Mr. A. Boyd, who was replaced by Mr. S. Stoll on Wintaker after being unable to make the weight, was severely reprimanded and advised that in future he must only accept rides in his weight range.

Race 5 – frank loughnan memorial trophy race - 1500 metres: 

Mr. A. Body, rider of Saidin which performed below expectations today, explained that his mount was not suited by the slow early tempo of the race.

Race 6 – wolamai volunteers open trophy race - 1500 metres:
