Mr. L Taylor’s license to ride in races was suspended from midnight 11 January to midnight 17 January, a period of 1 picnic racemeeting.
Mr Craig Kirkpatrick, rider of Happy Blessing, was severely reprimanded for unneccesary use of the whip in the straight.
Mr Michael Fitzgerald, rider of Avian Prince, was fined $100 for unneccessary use of the whip in the home straight.

Shortly after the start Buchen was hampered by Snakie which jumped away awkwardly and shifted out.
Race 4 – RSL Open Trophy Hcp - 1200 metres:
Mr. Shane McGovern, rider of Like Thunder, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding, the careless riding being that approaching the 300m he forced a run to the inside of Uptillate where there was insufficent room, resulting in Uptillate being brushed on the hindquarters and becoming unbalanced and Like Thunder being severely hampered. Mr. S McGovern’s license to ride in races was suspended from midnight 11 January until midnight 24 January, a period of 2 picnic racemeetings.
Race 5 – Fosters Healesville Amateur Racing Club Cup - 1650 metres:
Warrigal Tomand Ancient Faeroe were slow to begin.
Mr. John Fitzgerald, rider of Leica Reason, and Ms. Clare Whitehead, rider of Cousins Triumph, were both severely reprimanded for their riding tactics in the early and middle stages of the race, in that they permitted their mounts to race too far forward of the remainder of the field. Both Mr. J Fitzgerald and Ms. C Whitehead were told they would be expected to use more initiative in similar circumstances in future.
Race 6 – Cheffields Trophy (3) Race - 1650 metres:
The start of this race was delayed as Proud Affair had to be re-saddled.
Mr. Jacob Londregan, rider of second placegetter Kenbest, did not proceed with an objection after viewing the video prior to correct weight being declared.
