Race 1 – Foodworks (Works for me) maiden Handicap - 1650 metres: Shortly after the start LOCHIEHORSE was tightened for room between PRINCELY ONE and BANK GUARANTEED when both horses shifted ground. Near the 1200m PRINCELY ONE had to be eased to avoid the heels of ROCK ON RICK. Approaching the 600m LOCHIEHORSE was held up behind ELOQUENT MISS which was weakening. Race 2 – harvest valley (exclusive to foodworks) open trophy race - 1650 metres: In the early stages of the race COWDREY overraced and near the winning post the first time had to be eased off the heels of BOTTLE (M Fitzgerald) which shifted in. M Fitzgerald was notified to exercise more care when shifting ground in future. Near the 1100m BOTTLE become unbalanced. TATE MODERN was held up for clear running from the 600m until the 300m. Race 3 – the promenade bakehouse maiden handicap - 1000 metres: In the early part of the straight SHAMROCK ELLE was held up for a run. Approaching the 100m COMBELLE shifted out towards FORBIDDEN. After passing the 75m DUCKIN AND WEAVIN had to be eased when tightened for room by CAYA COCO which shifted in slightly. D Waymouth rider of FORBIDDEN pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding the careless riding being that after passing the 100m she permitted her mount to shift in when not sufficiently clear of COMBELLE there by taking that mare in onto SHAMROCK ELLE which resulted in both those horses being hampered. D Waymouth was suspended from riding in races the term of the suspension to commence at midnight Saturday November 15th 2008 and to expire at midnight the 22/11/2008 (1 picnic meeting) Stewards took into account Debbie Waymouth’s excellent race riding record when assessing penalty. During the incident DUCKIN AND WEAVIN and CAYO COCO were inconvenienced. Race 4 – best buys (exclusive to foodworks) trophy race (1) - 1000 metres: Near the 600m FLAMING ARCH shifted in and brushed the running rail. Race 5 – parkinson group trophy race (3) - 1200 metres: SHEEZA MESS was examined by the clubs veterinary surgeon and passed fit to run. A Veterinary examination of FERRUZZANO which performed poorly revealed no abnormality. Race 6 – brad slater open trophy race - 1200 metres: After passing the 100m TIDAL SPIRIT (J Fitzgerald) shifted in under pressure and inconvenienced COUSINS TRUMPH, J Fitzgerald was notified he must keep his mounts straight in future Swab Samples Post race samples from following horses: Race 1- Tucker Road (winner) Race 2- Pemmtar (winner) Raceday Summary
