Other Comments / Explanations:

Mr L Taylor, who was having his first ride back after a fall, assured the Stewards that he had provided a medical clearance to Racing Victoria Ltd, and was therefore allowed to ride today.

Race 1 – Bob Mathieson Maiden - 1650 metres:

Near the 1400m Super Shag had to be eased off the heels of On De Nile, when over-racing.

In the early and middle stages On De Nile over-raced.

Rounding the home turn On De Nile, when weakening, had to be eased off the heels of Jiminy Terror which shifted in.

Race 2 – Hoogies Hardware Maiden - 1000 metres:

The track was upgraded to a Good 2 at 1:45pm

Cliffys Apparation was slow to begin.

On jumping away Madalyns’s Folly threw its head in the air and lost ground.

S McGovern, rider of fifth placegetter Flywheel, was reminded of his obligations under the Rules of Racing to ride his mounts out to the end of the race. Stewards believe that S McGovern's actions did not affect the placings in the race.

Race 3 – Charlie Booth Memorial Trophy 3 Hcp - 1000 metres:

No report.

Race 4 – No Small Feet Vineyard Trophy 1 Hcp - 1200 metres:

Near the 800m Bank Guaranteed (Ms S Waddell) attempted to take a narrow run between Leica Reason and Divine Province where there was not sufficient room, which resulted in Bank Guaranteed having to be eased and losing ground. Ms S Waddell was notified that she must ensure that she has sufficient room when taking runs in future

Race 5 – Hindsight Solutions Hcp - 1650 metres:

Tate Modern was slow to begin.

Approaching the 1100m Benzmark got it’s head up on a number of occasions when being restrained.

Rounding the home turn Benzmark was help up for a run.

Inside the 100m Bottle was inconvenienced by Benzmark, which shifted in slightly.

S McGovern, rider of Blackbook, accidently dropped his whip near the 100m.

Race 6 – Phillip Chambers Trophy 2 Hcp – 1650 metres:

Super Shag, which had ran in Race 1, was examined by the Club’s veterinary surgeon prior to the running of this race and declared fit to start.

In the early and middle stages of the race Super Shag got it’s head up when being restrained.

When questioned regarding her riding of Princess Pinot in the middle stages of the race, Ms K Gillahan rider of the mare, told the Stewards that it was her original intention to ride her mount into the race from the 600m, however after passing the 900m she elected to shift out and improve her position. After viewing the video, Ms K Gillahan conceded that she should have waited before improving her position.

Rounding the home turn Marquez shifted out slightly and brushed Princess Pinot.
