As Ms Anderson was unfit to ride in the race, and so as to prevent any further delay, Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Smokin’ Arch at 3.24pm. Subsequent to the running of the race, Stewards declared correct weight subject to the following: All monies bet for a win and/or place on Smokin’ Arch to be refunded. All successful bets on horses prior to the time of withdrawal of Smokin’ Arch to be paid at face value of the ticket less the following deductions in the dollar: Win bets 9cents, Place bets 10 cents, Quinella bets 20 cents, and Doubles bets 9 cents. All monies bet after the Stewards declaration of withdrawal to be paid at face value of the ticket.
