Race 1 – wonthaggi club trophy race 3) handicap - 2000 metres: 

After passing the winning post the first time, Warne had to be eased off the heels of Lycomedes (Miss P. Tait) when the pace slackened in front. Miss P. Tait was reprimanded and advised that in future, when in similar circumstances, she must ensure her mounts keep striding clear of the field. Mr. A. Body (rider of Warne) was severely reprimanded for weighing in 1 kilogram over his allocated weight. Miss A Vermay (rider of Johnny No Cash) was severely reprimanded for unnecessary use of the whip when not in contention.

Race 2 – stock feed plus trophy race (1) handicap - 1000 metres:  King of Grace was slow to begin. In the straight Mr. B. Wade (rider of Ronrenza) accidentally dropped his whip.

Race 3 – cove training open trohphy race handicap - 1000 metres:  Vadim jumped away awkwardly. In the straight, Grand Legend had a tendency to hang in.

Race 4 – wonthaggi feed barn open trohpy race handicap  - 1500 metres:  As Leica Reason was a dual acceptor in Races 4 and 5, stewards permitted Leica Reason to be withdrawn from Race 4 at 2.20 p.m.

Regal Reason, which had jumped away awkwardly, was hampered by Fair Bianca, which shifted out slightly. Regal Reason continued to race erratically for some distance.

Race 5 – westernport hotel open trophy race handicap - 1700 metres:  No report.

Race 6 – kent & shirley & son contractors trophy race (2) handicap  - 1600 metres: 

When the pace eased at the 1300 metres Lukadat, which was over racing, had to be eased off the heels of Just Kurrupt. Mr. A. Boyd, rider of the winner Lukadat, was fined a sum of $50.00 for making a celebratory gesture before the winning post.
