Race 1 – WONTHAGGI CITIZENS BAND OPEN TROPHY RACE HANDICAP - 2000 metres:

Burning Ambition was slow to begin.

Race 2 – BASS COAST REFRIGERATION TROPHY RACE (1) HANDICAP - 1700 metres:

Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Reddy for Kerry at 11.40am after confirming a telephone call from trainer Bob Triplow, who was unable to complete his journey from Bairnsdale due to flood waters.

Bon Bliss jumped away awkwardly and attempted to buck start shortly after the start before racing ungenerously for some distance. Stewards notified Mark Stephenson, trainer of Bon Bliss, that a warning would be placed against the mare and should it perform in a similar manner in future it may lead to further action being taken.

Due to continuous rain, stewards inspected the track near the 1000 metres and declared it safe for racing.

Race 3 – MATHESON FAMILY OPEN TROPHY RACE HANDICAP - 1600 metres:

Tate Modern was slow away.

After the running of the race, stewards postponed the meeting at 2.22pm due to further rain and poor visibility for riders.
