Other Comments / Explanations: All horses starting for the second time were passed by the club’s veterinary surgeon.

Race 1 – action offroad camper hire maiden handicap - 1000 metres: As no suitable rider was available for El Ganador, which was late on course, stewards scratched El Ganador at 12.25 p.m. Alrhon Cheval was slow to begin. Approaching the winning post Ferruzzano (J. Fitzgerald) shifted in and hampered Lord Ensay. J. Fitzgerald was advised to great far greater care when shifting ground in future.

Race 2 – dormit industries open race handicap - 1000 metres: No report.

Race 3 – the village glen restricted (3) HANDICAP- 1600 metres: No report.

Race 4 – NULLAMUNJIE OLIVE OLI SWIFTS CREEK CUP - 1600 metres: On returning to scale Miss Peta Tait, rider of third place getter Ensay, lodged an objection against the winner Warrigal Tom (J. Fitzgerald) for alleged interference over the concluding 50 metres. After taking evidence from all connections and after viewing the head on video of the incident, stewards dismissed the objection and declared correct weight. Mr. J. Fitzgerald, rider of Warrigal Tom, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding near the 50 metres mark when he permitted his mount to shift in when not sufficiently clear of Ensay, causing that horse to be checked. Mr. J. Fitzgerald was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence at midnight 10th March, 2008 and conclude at midnight 22nd March.

Race 5 – PATERSON’S SECURITIES LTD RESRICTED (2) HANDICAP - 1200 metres: Mr. G. Pattison, rider of Eloquent Miss, explained that his mount felt sore and for this reason he eased his mount up. A veterinary examination of the mare revealed her to be sore in front. Mr. I. Webb, trainer of Eloquent Miss, was advised that before racing again he must be in receipt of a veterinary certificate for the mare.

Race 6 – SWIFTS CREEK BUSH NURSING CENTRE INC OPEN HANDICAP - 1200 metres: King of Grace was slow away.
