Race 1 – ALPINE BLOOMS OPEN TROPHY RACE - 1750 metres:  Blinkin Madness was slow to begin.

Race 2 – MAGNOLIA GOURMET COUNTRY HOUSE MAIDEN HANDICAP - 1750 metres: When the gates opened, Araminta Bay threw its head in the air and began awkwardly. Barravore Lady jumped away awkwardly and pulled hard in the early stages.

April Fog raced ungenerously in the early stages. K. Harris, rider of April Fog, explained to the stewards that he had some difficulty getting the mare to settle and negotiate the first turn.

Araminta Bay hung out during the middle of the race and also approaching the home turn, hampering Barravore Lady and Red Heir.

Race 3 – GLOBAL TIMBER PRODUCTS MAIDEN HANDICAP - 1100 metres: Prior to the declaration of correct weight, S. McGovern, rider of Ish, second placegetter past the post, requested to view the judge’s photo for first place. After viewing the photo finish print, S. McGovern was satisfied with the judge’s placing, and stewards declared correct weight.

Ish was slow to begin racing.

Ms S. Waddell, rider of Angel’s Kiss, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding, the careless riding being that near the 150 metres she permitted her mount to shift in when not sufficiently clear of Our Speedy, resulting in that horse being tightened for room and having to be checked. Ms Waddell’s licence to ride in races was suspended from midnight, 6 November 2007, until midnight 23 November 2007, a total of two picnic meetings. In assessing penalty, stewards took into account her guilty plea and limited experience.

Race 4 – HIGH COUNTRY TIMES OPEN TROPHY RACE HANDICAP - 1100 metres:  Rylock jumped away awkwardly and lost ground. Live and Bear It was slow to begin.

At the entrance to the straight, Live and Bear It shifted across the heels of Paint Me Pink to obtain a clear run.

Approaching the winning post, A. Boyd, rider of Live and Bear It, became unbalanced and lost use of his offside rein.

Race 5 – CRT RODWELLS MANSFIELD PICNIC CUP - 1200 metres:  Stewards ordered the withdrawal of The Lanz at 11.15am after confirming a telephone call from trainer Mr Arthur Pace, who stated that in his opinion the gelding was showing signs of heat in its near side foreleg and was unfit to race. Mr Pace was advised he would be required to lodge a veterinary clearance for The Lanz before the gelding races again.

Ms C. Whitehead dropped her whip after passing the 200 metres.

Race 6 – MANSFIELD DELATITE TRAVEL RESTRICTED TROPHY (2) HANDICAP - 1200 metres:  On leaving the mounting yard, Tiger Grey struck the gate. Tiger Grey was examined by the club’s veterinary surgeon on arrival at the barriers and passed fit to run.

Stewards questioned A. Boyd into his riding of Tiger Grey in the early stages of the race. A. Boyd stated to the stewards that he was instructed to ride the gelding back in the field and after jumping away he elected to sit quietly to keep the gelding balanced and for this reason got further out of his ground than intended. Stewards notified A. Boyd that in their opinion he got too far out of his ground and should have made greater effort to be closer to the field than he was on this occasion.

Approaching the home turn, Tiger Grey was held up for a run for some distance.
