Race 1 – ADVANCED CATERING CONCEPTS TROPHY RACE (2) HANDICAP - 1650 metres: Prior to correct weight, D Waymouth, rider of second placegetter Agent Frost, viewed the Stewards patrol film before lodging an objection against Wecanbeheroes being declared the winner on the grounds of alleged interference shortly after the start. After viewing the film and considering all the evidence, Stewards dismissed the objection. It was established that after being slow to begin, Agent Frost was slightly inconvenienced by Wecanbeheroes which shifted out slightly. A Boyd, rider of Wecanbeheroes, pleaded guilty to a charge under AR.118.A in that after weighing out he changed his safety vest. After taking into consideration A Boyd’s guilty plea and also that it was his first offence under this Rule, A Boyd was fined the sum of $100. Race 2 – BETTA PARTY HIRE OPEN TROPHY RACE HANDICAP - 1650 metres: On jumping away Damaze threw its head in the air and raced ungenerously for a number of strides. Race 3 – DENSAL PLOUGHBOYS $2000 TRAINERS BONUS MAIDEN HANDICAP - 1650 metres: Acquolino jumped away awkwardly and lost considerable ground. Rounding the home Acquolino lost its footing and become unbalanced. Race 4 – WOODRO7 RED MAIDEN HANDICAP - 1000 metres: Acting on information received, Stewards questioned B Beecroft regarding the training bona fides of Frilling. After taking evidence from Mr Beecroft and acting on his assurance that the gelding had been trained in accordance with the Rules, Stewards permitted the horse to start. Subsequent to the running of Race 3, Stewards ordered the section of track from the 400 metres to the 200 metres be harrowed. After a track inspection by Stewards and all riders it was deemed the track was unsafe for racing and the meeting was postponed at 3.50.pm. Swab Samples Raceday Summary
