Race 3 – royal hotel ficifolia open trophy cup - 1200 metres: At the start Cape Cod Kid jumped out and bumped Prince Rappa. Race 4 – the drouin & district community bank maiden handicap - 1600 metres: Ferruzzano jumped away awkwardly. Near the 800 metres, Final Siren was tightened for room and brushed the running rail when Count Company shifted in to avoid the heels of Flaming Arch, which had a tendency to hang in. On returning to scale Mr. A. Boyd viewed the video coverage of the race before deciding not to protest. In the straight Flaming Arch and Count Company both shifted in.
