Race 1 – TIME TRAVELLER MAIDEN HANDICAP - 1200 metres: Miss Black ‘N’ Tan was examined in the mounting yard by the club’s veterinary surgeon who declared the filly unfit to run. Stewards withdrew Miss Black ‘N’ Tan at 1.50 p.m. Subsequent to the race stewards ordered the following betting deductions. All wages on Miss Black ‘N’ Tan to be refunded and all winning bets to be paid face value of the ticket less the following deductions in the dollar: Win - 12 cents, Place - 14 cents, Concession - 12 cents.

Mr. G. Patterson, rider of The Recruit, was fined the sum of $50.00 for excessive use of the whip on that gelding.

Race 5 – the gary rogers nissan drouin cup – 1775 metres: At the start Toro jumped out and bumped Leica Reason. After passing the winning post the first time, Toro had to be eased off the heels of Baltic Storm when that horse shifted out slightly. Like Auntie, which was following, was hampered in consequence.

Race 6 – the royal hotel maiden handicap - 1600 metres: Mr. B. Wade, rider of Royal Riff Raff the winner of the race, was fined the sum of $50.00 for making a celebratory gesture prior to the winning post.
