Race 1 – bill wyndham & com p/l maiden handicap - 1000 metres:  Tiara Chic was slow to begin.

Race 2 – southern cross ten open trohpy handicap - 1000 metres:  No report.

Race 3 – heat 3 crv  picnic racing middle distance series - 1700 metres:  In the early and middle stages of the race Carefully, when over racing, got its head up.

Race 4 – kee fencing & s A sproule sawmilling trophy (3) handicap - 1700 metres:  No report.

Race 5 – buchan station open trophy buchan cup - 1200 metres:  On returning to scale K. Gillahan, rider of Miss Gisborne, third place getter, viewed the video coverage of the race before objecting to the second place getter, Kelly Bean, for alleged interference in the straight. After viewing both videos and after taking evidence from connections, stewards dismissed the objection. It was established that at the top of the straight Miss Gisborne shifted out away from Kelly Bean and that near the 50 metres Kelly Bean shifted out slightly and brushed Miss Gisborne. During this incident, Mr. G. Patterson, rider of Kelly Bean, accidentally struck Miss Gisborne on the nose with his whip. Mr. Patterson was advised to take greater care when shifting ground in future.

Race 6 – buchan caves hotel trophy (2) handicap - 1200 metres:  No report.

Horses racing for the second time today were passed fit to run by the club’s veterinary surgeon.
