Once again, Balnarring Race Club put on a very successful Australia Day Balnarring Cup meeting. There was a large crowd in attendance, the weather gods were favourable and the racing was competitive with a number of close finishes. The Balnarring Cup went to the consistent Too Much Sun ridden by John Fitzgerald and trained by Peter White.

The highlight of the Woolamai meeting on the 23rd Jan. was the consistent sprinter Just Jordie making it 4 from 4 this season as he took out the Brian Bren Picnic Racing Sprinter Series Heat 4. This Robert Carmichael trained 6yo gelding has now won 7 of its 12 picnics races and has gone from strength to strength this season.
