The other highlight of the day was the riding of Adam Bodey who booted home four winners and stretched his lead in the jockeys premiership to fourteen over his nearest rival Kane Harris. Adam has now ridden 39 winners from 100 rides this season. For those not mathematically advantaged that gives him a 39% winning ratio, one I don't know any other jockey currently achieving over so many rides.
The meeting was a huge success for the club and the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal as Woolamai pledged its gate receipts to the fund and a record crowd was in attendance. Well done to the committee and all the patrons who attended to make this a success.
